Education
I am currently a student at Chaminade High School in Mineola, New York, and I have taken the most advanced track the school offers. My average stands at 98.92, and I am currently ranked first in a class of 426; that number reflects my ability to handle a heavy course load without letting my grades slide.
I have accelerated two full years in mathematics and one year in Chinese. By the end of sophomore year I had finished and received a 5 on AP Calculus BC, AP Biology, AP Seminar, and AP World History; the mix of calculus, lab work, presentations, and global perspectives has helped me see how different fields connect.
This junior year I am adding AP Computer Science A, AP Chemistry, AP Chinese, and the paired AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics classes. Computer science strengthens my coding and logical thinking; chemistry keeps me practicing careful experimentation; five years of studying Chinese now culminates in AP Chinese, pushing my language skills to a higher level; and economics introduces models that explain markets and data, which is useful for finance.
My senior year will focus on calculus–based physics and higher math. I will take AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism, Honors Linear Algebra, and AP Statistics. That combination will let me study forces, fields, matrices, and inference all at once; it is perfect preparation for a physics major in college. Long term, I want to move from theoretical physics into quantitative finance; every course I choose is meant to sharpen the math, programming, and analytical tools I will need for that path.
The College Board recognized my work with AP Scholar with Honor after freshman year and AP Scholar with Distinction after sophomore year. Those awards remind me that challenging myself pays off, and they push me to keep aiming high as I head toward college and a future career on the quantitative side of finance.
